There Was Nothing! Nothing I Tell You!

Kind of a boring drive to work today with no interesting cars to look at. Nothing bright, shiny, new or unique. Just the boring, day-to-day cars of this time. But, I did notice something kinda cool about the Volvo that was in front of me: the headlights.

Of course, I googled trying to find a picture of specific headlights, well, taillights, and I couldn’t find the headlights I had seen. I saw other shapes, but not the L that I saw. Well, more of an upside down L really. They were very wicked looking and added a cool feel to the already well shaped Volvo.

I think headlights can make or break a car’s design, at least for the backside of the car anyway. Some taillights are even markable. Meaning, by just looking at the taillights, you can tell which car it is.

·         Ferraris have their rounded taillights.

·         Lamborghinis have their triple, y-shaped taillights.

·         Bentleys have their double, oval shapes.

·         Rolls Royce with its layer within a layer taillight.

Taillights are actually such an important feature of a car that anyone can actually get them custom. Some add LED. Others change the color of the material to, say, black for a more sleek look. (Again, not a fan of the black on black with black look, but okay, whatever you want to do.)

Although this is true, I highly doubt that people go out shopping and look for a car based on the taillights. I think that would be a rather odd way to shop for a car. Just sayin’.

I will say one of my most favorite taillights (yes, people can have favorite taillights) are the taillights found on a Mustang. The triple lights work together and yet independently. Turn on a blinker and the one light at a time lights up from the inside out. It’s very sexy and very mesmerizing….Just don’t star too long, you may get sick and forget that you are driving.

Okay, that’s an exaggeration. That wouldn’t happen. But, taillights are still a fun piece of the puzzle when adding custom pieces to your car.

I think I will do some online classifieds shopping and see if maybe I can find some cool lookin’ lights for my V-Dub. I mean I’ve seen some funny taillights, unique taillights and really stupid ones. Time to change it up!
